The mission of the Journal of Community-Based Practice in Applied Behavior Analysis (JCPABA) is to provide a platform to showcase excellence and professionalism in the field of behavior analysis in regional settings. This journal strives to give a voice to the talented and innovative practitioners, who due to the nature of applied work, may not have data and experimental controls that meet the standards to be published in current professional journals. JCPABA believes there is immense value publishing work from applied practice for researchers, practitioners, and the field of behavior analysis as a whole. Sharing the results from applied practice will inform researchers on the replicability of their work in the natural environment and will support practitioners in remaining connected to the scientific base in ABA even when geographically and professionally disconnected from research facilities.
Journal of Community-Based Practice in Applied Behavior Analysis will be a semi-annual publication consisting of studies completed by local behavior analysts, student research from local ABA programs, essays on relevant behavioral content, position papers, spotlights on current behavioral programs around the region, and journal article reviews. Our web page will serve as a conduit of information sharing for both contributor and subscribers to the journal. It will include additional monthly content on ethical issues and current regional events.
Journal of Community-Based Practice in Applied Behavior Analysis (JCPABA) is published by Vermont Collaborative publishing L3C
